“It’s important to stay informed about the issues that affect our community and the Nation, so I read a lot of newspapers published here and on the mainland. We also spend a lot of time listening, because we need to know what people are talking about and what is important to them. We pride ourselves on listening to the concerns of various communities, and then getting those stories told. It’s a challenging job. It has placed me closer to my family, my community, and to a State that I proudly call home."
